Tony Marwick first studied etching at the Slade School of art, now he is a member of Spike Island Print Studios where he currently makes etchings using hard ground and aquatint on copper plates.
His work is based on landscapes and cityscapes. His work ranges through historical images of a city’s heritage: from medieval cathedrals to industrial constructions.
Tony’s work is always monochrome, fully utilising the tonal qualities of multiple uses of aquatint. His prints are on hand-made paper and are of very limited editions.
