Carolyn Lamb

Oils & watercolour

Carolyn's paintings and drawings take you on a tour of local landscapes in oils and watercolour. She is a painter of cliffs, gardens and town and country corners. All work is done on location directly from nature.

Carolyn trained on the  MA (Hons) Fine Art degree run jointly by Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art, then at the Courtauld Institute, London and the Tate Gallery.

She paints UK wide, but most commonly within a radius of 30 miles from BS9, concentrating on views around the Avon, the Portway, the River Trym, Leigh Woods, the Severn estuary and the Mendips.  Gardens such as at Holt Farm, Blagdon provide frequent inspiration for plein air oil paintings capturing hidden or forgotten garden corners and flowers.
