Zennor Box
Painting & ceramics

Zennor Box was born in 1965 Lyndhurst, the heart of the New Forest before she moved to Bristol in the early 90's, where she now lives and works. Although she is a self taught painter, she studied printmaking in Farnham Surrey.
After working as a sculptor/model maker for Aardman Animations, on projects like A Close Shave, Rex the Runt Pilot, numerous adverts and the Spice Girls pop promo Viva Forever, She left to have her first son and started painting.
Since 2019 Hospitals have become the perfect place to show her paintings. Most people walking down a hospital corridor are looking for some sort of distraction or escapism and these absurd yet familiar, strange yet humorous paintings quickly transport you to a different place for a while.
She's shown at: Southmead Bristol, Royal United Hospital Bath, Dorchester District Hospital, Yeovil Hospital, Bristol Royal Infirmary, Musgrove Taunton, Salisbury District Hospital, Weston General, and South Bristol Hospital.
You can still see her work in South Bristol Hospital and the RUH Bath. And in the last few weeks of August this year she is showing at Durlston Country Park Swanage, situated on the southwest coast path. This space equally has a diverse range of people walking through, who can find art by chance.
To add to her repertoire she has just started ceramics and will have a range of original pottery for you to enjoy.
