Alison Branston
Acrylic, pencil & lino print

Alison studied art at college and started working life as a graphic designer. After becoming disillusioned with the lack of drawing in a digital art world, she transferred her energies into retail banking for 13 years. Leaving banking to raise her two children, Alison had time to restore her love of all things creative and regularly produces people and per portraits to commission. She now uses her management skills to run the operations at Trinity College, whilst filling her weekends with creativity.

Alison moved to Bristol in 2017 and has exhibited in the BS9 Arts Trail for a number of years, with a break last year. She enjoys experimenting with new techniques and likes an eclectic mix of subject matter. This is portrayed in the varied array of style and media that she uses in her work. Having always been captivated by the beauty of nature, Alison delights in bringing this into her artwork, whether it is a big cat close up, or a study of our beautiful native birds.
