Monica Cuellar
Oils and acrylics on wooden panel
Monica Cuellar is a Bristol-based fine art painter originally from Spain.
Her work explores the human conection to nature and wildlife, and how memory and emotion shape that relationship.
Through vibrant colour, rich tonal values and a myriad of details, she creates immersive paintings that invite close attention and evoke joy.
Working in oils and acrylics, and occasionally incorporating gold leaf, she builds luminous compositions that balance intensity with quiet reverence.
Monica’s work invites viewers to rediscover the wonder of first encounters with plants and animals and to sense, anew, their own connection to it.
