Zennor Box
Painting & ceramics

Zennor Box is a self-taught painter, whose work is very much inspired by human behaviour and the world we live in.

She works in acrylics and enjoys making images that provoke curiosity and feelings. They're rich with atmosphere, and have a narrative which will make you look twice. Her large body of work spans nearly three decades and each painting demands a new perspective and a different idea.
Zennor's early connection with ceramics has recently been rekindled and she will be selling a range of original pottery with her own fun creature designs. Her work is intriguing, unusual and very much worth a look.
She started painting after she had her first son. She left working at Aardman Animations as a sculptor/model maker (on projects like A Close Shave, and the Spice Girls' Viva Forever pop promo) so she could be with her son and paint.
Since 2019 you might have seen her paintings in a touring exhibition that travelled to hospitals throughout the South West of England or at South Bristol Hospital where they remained after the tour. You can also see a large collection of her paintings along the corridor of C wing at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
